Smooth or non-slip finish and coating, resistant to UV rays, water-repellent, with excellent abrasion resistance, for concrete and cementitious supports subject to mechanical stress;
smooth finish for fiberglass surfaces, polyurethane insulation and waterproofing systems;
colored coating of multilayer systems; colored coating for industrial floors of car parks, ramps, warehouses, etc. o concrete infrastructures such as bridges, viaducts, silos, tanks, pylons, etc.; smooth or non-slip finish and coating, on ceramic, clinker and porcelain stoneware surfaces;
Also suitable for steel supports, after appropriate preparation and priming of the support.
Concrete
The surfaces to be coated must be stable, clean and free of substances that could affect the adhesion of the coating, such as dirt, grease, oil, residues of coatings and surface treatments, etc. The weak parts must be removed before applying the product by mechanical sanding with diamond discs and vacuum cleaning. The tensile strength of the concrete must not be less than 1.5 N/mm².
Wet supports
In case of residual humidity, apply two or more coats (depending on the irregularities of the support) of Syntech Pavidamp three-component epoxy primer. All cracks in the substrate must be treated and sealed before applying the three-component primer.
Resin coatings
The surfaces to be covered must be stable, clean and free of substances such as dirt, grease, oil, etc. which can affect the adhesion of the coating. Smooth the surface by mechanical sanding with diamond discs and vacuum. It is recommended to wash the surfaces and let them dry completely before applying the finish.
Steel
It is necessary to remove solder residues and grind the joints. Sandblasting at Sa 2½ according to ISO8501-1. The surfaces to be coated must be free of dirt, oil, grease and impurities. Average degree of surface roughness RZ ≥ 50 μm. An anti-corrosion treatment is recommended before applying the coating.
Ceramic coverings, glass mosaic, porcelain stoneware, clinker
Wash the ceramic surfaces to be treated with specific detergents to remove smog, dust, salts, etc. which block the pores to facilitate better capillary penetration of the primer onto the support.
Humidity control
Before installing resin systems and coatings, always check the residual humidity content.
Check for the presence of residual humidity with the plastic sheet method according to the ASTM D 4263 standard: fix a thick polyethylene sheet with a minimum size of 45x45 cm to the support with adhesive tape. 24 hours after installation, lift the sheet and check the
presence of traces of humidity. When tested with a carbide hygrometer, the moisture content of the substrate should be < 4% by weight.
Primers
Concrete
The application of SYNTECH PAVICROM PU must always be preceded by the application of a coat of epoxy anchoring primer SYNTECH PRIMER EP-S. Wait 8-12 hours before applying the finish.
Resin coatings
The application of SYNTECH PAVICROM PU must always be preceded by sanding the entire surface in order to promote and guarantee optimal adhesion of the product to the support.
Ceramic surfaces, glass mosaic, porcelain stoneware, clinker
The application of SYNTECH PAVICROM PU must always be preceded by the application of a coat of specific primer SYNTECH PRIMER. Wait at least 6-8 hours before applying the finish.
Combine the two components in the indicated mixing ratio. Add component B (hardener) to component A (base) and mix well until a completely homogeneous product is obtained.
It is advisable to start mixing briefly with an electric drill at low speed and then intensify the stirring up to a maximum of 300-400 rpm. The product can be applied uniformly using a spray gun or short-haired roller to avoid accumulations of material which could give rise to aesthetic defects. The application of the product must be carried out by crossing the passes and paying particular attention to the shots, regularly unloading the roller beyond the applied area to obtain a uniform film and eliminate any accumulations of product. Apply one or more coats of Syntech Pavicrom PU respecting the consumption and thickness indicated. Wait approximately 12 hours, then apply the second coat of colored finish.
